Ion Bank Formely Naugatuck Savings Bank
This adaptive re-use project changed a Retail Furrier's store, previously a residential home, into a Bank Branch. The original structure had to be updated to meet current codes and volumes of space were capture to create high lobby ceilings. This allowed the second floor offices to overlook the main lobby and be treated as a Mezzanine simplifying the means of egress from that level. With the change of use, the building also had to be brought up to date with current ADA accessibility codes.
CNB Terryville Branch
Located in the end unit of a retail strip mall this branch had the challenge of fitting in a space that was only 25' wide at the entrance point, 40' wide at the rear and 120' deep. Issues of maintaining privacy for offices while providing visibility for security were addressed through the design of frosted and clear glass millwork walls.
